Athletics Department Increases Resources for Needy Students
The University of South Carolina athletics department will commit $15 million over 15 years for university academics -- primarily need-based student scholarships. Elizabeth Nyikos, an Honors College senior, has been awarded the prestigious 2009 Marshall Scholarship, offered to 40 or fewer students per year. This award supports graduate study in the United Kingdom.
