Below is a list of some of the commonly asked questions we are asked at the Alumni Association. If you need further assistance, please contact one of our staff representatives or call (803) 777-4111, local, or (800) 476-8752, toll free.

Q. I have signed up for my membership and have not received my card.
A. Please allow up to two weeks for your card to be delivered. If after that time you still have not received your membership card, please call our office at (803) 777-4111 and we will be happy to let you know the status and mail you a new card.
Q. I am a Carolina graduate and my son/daughter was just accepted to Carolina. Are there any scholarships available for him/her?
A. If you have a student applying for the Legacy Scholarship, a parent or grandparent of that student must be a graduate of the University and be an active alumni member and the student must meet all other academic requirements for the scholarship. If you have a student applying for a Richard T. Greener Scholarship or the Alumni Scholarship, those scholarships are awarded to students with the highest academic ranking. Q. I am a member of My Carolina. How can I go about getting football tickets?
A. My Carolina Alumni Association does not sell football tickets to Gamecock football games. There are times when tickets are made available to members through special promotions or prizes. For ticket information for University Athletics events please visit the Gamecock Athletics web site at www.Gamecocksonline.com.
Q. I am thinking about joining My Carolina. As a member, will I able to use the Strom Thurmond Wellness & Fitness Center?
A. Unfortunately, no. "The Strom" is currently exclusive to current students and, for an additional fee, to faculty and staff. Active members of the Alumni Association are able to use the Solomon Blatt P.E. Center for a fee of $5 per visit or $300 per year.
Q. My spouse/significant other is not a graduate of Carolina, but I am. Can I sign him/her up as my joint member?
A. Your spouse can be listed as your joint member even if they did not attend the University.
Q. How long after I sign up will it take for me to receive my membership card?
A. Please allow up to two weeks to receive your membership card in the mail.
Q. I need to have my degree verified for employment. Who would I contact for that information?
A. Please contact the Registrar’s office at (803) 777-5555 for that information.
Q. I had a friend/ roommate/boyfriend/girlfriend at Carolina when I attended. I would like to get in contact with him/her. Can you give me his/her contact information?
A. The Online Directory is a great way to reconnect with friends from Carolina. If additional information is needed, please contact our office.
Q. I would like to have a function (wedding/party/reception) at the Alumni House. How would I go about booking that?
A. The Alumni Association does not book reservations for the Alumni House. Please contact the College of Social Work to discuss reservations for functions at the Alumni House.

A. My Carolina is located at 1600 Gervais Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
