Alumni Center Committee Chair
Wayne Ledbetter, '79 participated in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's
Light the Night walk in October at Columbia International University. Wayne writes, "I walked with my friend and leukemia survivor, Carla White Freaney (she also attended Carolina for three years in the late 70's). Our team was the top Family and Friends fund raising team with over $7,000 raised for the event. I was the top fund raiser on our team with $2500 and 3rd highest in the Midlands. Much of the credit goes to my very supportive friends including many of those on the Rich-Lex board who made donations for my campaign. We are thrilled with our results for this year and expect to participate again next year with hopes of surpassing our efforts in 2008."

Jeff Chaplin, '81 recently traveled to Argentina. Jeff said, "The Andes are spectacular!" The South Carolina Outdoor Channel even got some footage from the trip. Jeff (right) is pictured he with his brother, Drew Chaplin '77 (on the left), and a friend from Houston (center).
