What Is the Student Advisory Board?
The My Carolina Student Advisory Board is the governing body of My Carolina student membership. They plan, host, and create the events and programs that help connect student members to the University of South Carolina and the Alumni Association. The prime objective is to ensure that once the student members graduate and leave the University, they will remain alumni members and uphold the traditions of the University.
A team of four student executive officers and a director of student programs oversee the daily operations of the student membership program. The Advisory Board prides itself on its diversity; the student members represent a wide range of backgrounds, hometowns, and majors, much like the University herself. By being a member of the Advisory Board, student members are given the opportunity to network with Alumni Association members, staff, and friends of the University. The Advisory Board creates a forum where student members can come to leave their mark on the University by creating a lasting legacy through their involvement with My Carolina student membership.
