We need you to step up to the plate today—to throw the winning touchdown pass for Carolina.
By contacting your legislators TODAY—and urging them to support Carolina's Palmetto College during next week’s special veto session—you can help save the day!
These one-time funds must be utilized right away for start-up costs associated with developing this cutting-edge online technology and programming. The loss of this money could delay or limit the scheduled start-up in fall 2013.
We need you in the game—give your legislators the support they need to override the veto. Let them hear from you today.
- Palmetto College may be the most significant investment that the General Assembly has made to increase affordability and accessibility to four-year baccalaureate degrees in high-demand, employable fields.
- Working or place-bound South Carolinians will be able to complete or earn a USC baccalaureate degree online without leaving their jobs, families or communities.
- This collaborative effort will reposition USC’s regional two-year campuses and strengthen their associate degree offerings by providing access to online four-year baccalaureate degrees from USC Columbia, Aiken, Beaufort or Upstate.
- Palmetto College will also provide South Carolinians an affordable, convenient way to take advantage of new jobs, promotions, or salary increases that require a four-year baccalaureate degree.
Because of your teamwork and enthusiasm, Palmetto College was embraced and funded by both chambers in a bipartisan fashion. We need you to bring home another win on Tuesday!
