<< BackCarolina Alumnus Named "Big Brother of the Year"
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia has named Brett Bostic, '07, its 2013 Big Brother of the Year. Brett has been matched with his Little Brother, CJ, since June 2009. The two bonded over a love for sports. “Our favorite things to do are go to the movies or watch the South Carolina Gamecocks play. When I need advice, I can always count on Brett to give me great advice,” said CJ, Brett’s Little Brother. “I’m glad to have him in my life. He is my brother, and I love him.”
“I’m humbled to be recognized with this award,” said Bostic. “I have learned and grown more from this experience than I could ever give back. Without being paired with a Little like CJ, I would never be here. He has taught me so much and is a wonderful young man.”
Brett Bostic has also been selected as the South Carolina Big Brother of the Year and will move on to compete with candidates from each for the “National Big of the Year” honor. The national award will be announced in May.
