"Transitions"

Life is full of transitions: we grow up, we grow older and eventually we grow wiser. We transition from middle school to high school, high school to college and college to, well, wherever we choose. It is these transitions that help shape our personalities and mold our futures because without them, well, we all would not be that different. And if you ask me, that doesn’t sound like too much fun.

Being a part of the Advisory Board for My Carolina Alumni Association has been a great opportunity for me. I have been given the chance to experience different events that not many students can say that they will get to do. One event that I had the opportunity to experience was a conference called CASE-ASAP in Auburn, Alabama.

No, my job was not one of high fashion and Carrie Bradshaw inspired shopping sprees, nor did I have the luxury of waking up on the Upper East Side or in the chic West Village each morning.

Clint Cornette is a self-made man, and an inspirational Gamecock. He attended the university from 1982-1984, failed out, and then came back and finished his degree in 1987-1988, graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
