My Carolina

Garnet Circle Student Alumni Council is the leadership organization sponsored by the Carolina Alumni Association. The organization exists to foster relationships between the students of the University of South Carolina and its alumni.

Garnet Circle's purpose is to promote the University of South Carolina to future students, and assist the Carolina Alumni Association with programs and events that promote positive feelings about the University among both students and alumni. The council also serves as the Official Ring ambassadors and sponsors the Ring Ceremony held every fall and spring.

The Official Ring ceremony is sponsored by the Garnet Circle Student Alumni Council and is held each fall and spring on the Horseshoe. Whether you're a Carolina alumnus or a student, you'll find this ring a precious keepsake representing your commitment to Carolina.

Twenty students were invited to join the Garnet Circle Student Alumni Council this spring. Garnet Circle Hosts Annual Etiquette Reception Garnet Circle members can RSVP for our spring event!  Come find out "What Not to Wear" to reception and networking events. 2010 Official USC Spring Ring Ceremony All students having reserved rings during the Official USC Ring Week are invited to participate in the Spring Ring Ceremony on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 on the Horseshoe. Each ring will be presented by President Pastides. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.  History of the Ring Ceremony In 1999 the University of South Carolina adopted an official ring. The ring is a symbol of students’ eternal affiliation with the university. History of Garnet Circle Student leaders were recruited to become involved in a different side of the University (Alumni and Development)
