Golden Reunion

Come home to Carolina May 16-17 and celebrate your 50th reunion during May Carolina Spring Reunions 2008!  This memorable weekend provides time for reconnecting with former classmates and seeing how much your alma mater has changed, and instills a sense of pride when everyone stands together during the presentation of your class gift.

To send us your updated information and share with us your Carolina memories, please click here to fill out the form on the computer or by hand and then e-mail, fax or mail it to us!

The Class of 1958 Reunion Committee has carefully selected the renovation of the Collaborative Learning Lab at the Thomas Cooper Library as the 50th reunion project.  Your class gift will provide for a complete restoration of the largest computer lab in the most visited building on campus.  The generosity of you and your classmates will be memorialized on a plaque inside the Library so that future generations of Gamecocks forever witness the love and pride you have for Carolina.

1958 Class Gift

A critical component of our 50th reunion is the legacy left by the Class of 1958.  I am proud to tell you that our class reunion committee has set a $100,000 goal for the renovation of the Collaborative Learning Lab at the Thomas Cooper Library as our 50th reunion gift project.  Our gift will enable the largest computer lab on campus to accommodate group projects, provide formal and informal learning opportunities, and create flexible spaces to support student needs.  This newly reconfigured learning space will accommodate over 150 students at a time and make it easy for them to work and learn with their peers.  The generosity of our class will be recognized with a plaque so that future generations will be reminded of our commitment to Carolina.

Libraries have changes since our days at McKissick.  Thomas Cooper contains over six acres of floor space, mostly underground, and is open around the clock on most days.  The library, with over one million visitors annually, is the intellectural heart of the campus and the University's most visited building.  Our class gift will never go unnoticed; it will be an important part of the ongoing improvement for both the students and of today and those of tomorrow.
