Award Amount: $2,000 total, or $500 per year for four years

Eligibility Requirements: This award is exclusive to incoming freshmen—NO exceptions.
At least one parent, legal guardian or grandparent must be a graduate of a Carolina campus and a current My Carolina member. To be awarded the scholarship, applicants must have applied for admission to Carolina and have been accepted.

In-state applicants must present the following:
• Minimum score of 1240 on the SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing + Math) - OR - ACT Composite score of 26
• Weighted GPA of at least 3.0 from an official high-school transcript (as calculated by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions)


Out-of-state applicants must present the following:
• Minimum score of 1280 on the SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing + Math) - OR - ACT Composite of 27
• Weighted GPA of at least 3.5 from an official high-school transcript (as calculated by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions 

Recipients may attend any Carolina campus

Additional Information: Awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Out-of-state recipients may also be eligible to receive a tuition rate reduction. Scholarship renewal is automatic as long as the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and full-time student status and the sponsor's My Carolina membership is current.
